I had big plans.
Heh!
If you want to make God laugh tell him your plans.
My hip started hurting really badly yesterday evening. I took as much oral pain medication as I could. I added a Lidocaine patch and a topical NSAID. Nothing worked. I went to sleep thinking that usually helps. I awoke and I was no better. I called my doctor. They are closed for Mardi Gras.
So.
I did what I never do. Never say never, they say.
I gave up. I can’t walk enough to make any reasonable pictures. This doesn’t bode well for the future.
We’ll just have to see.
Happy Fat Tuesday. And, stuff.
Hope that gets resolved soon — let us know.

This episode will eventually pass. The long term is pain management as best I can do.

Thank you, But this is as long term as it gets. The best I can do is manage it and hope for the best.

Have you tried a good old threat treatment?! An ultimatum of sorts! Sometimes where pampering fails, swearing succeeds! Seriously though, I hope it’s not long term… this is what I’ll be hoping for!

Oh yes. I do that. The problem is truly physical. Unless doctors come up with something new, the overall condition is forever. This time it is very extreme. I’m pretty sure the serious pain will fade. For now.

I really do hope doctors come up with something in combination with a little magic! …and here’s to pain going away!

Hope you feel better soon! Eat a paczki, Ray! Give yourself some time to heal, says this nurse. There will be plenty of things to photograph when you’re feeling up to walking.

Thank you. It’s chronic. It’ll get better with a little help.

Sounds serious Ray. Comes with age or previous injury. Don’t ignore the symptoms or it will get worse. I have faith you’ll be on your feet soon. Perseverance is in your DNA.

I’ve been fighting osteoarthritis for ten years, beginning with a hip replacement. Today, four of my vertebrae are calcified which cause all sorts of issues. I will never be completely on my feet again.

They won’t do much. I want a steroid injection to start. Failing that, stronger pain meds. Nobody, including me, want surgery.
