On This Day

Katrina return.

Daylight again, following me to bed
I think about a hundred years ago, how my fathers bled
I think I see a valley, covered with bones in blue
All the brave soldiers that cannot get older been askin’ after
you

Hear the past a callin’, from Armegeddon’s side
When everyone’s talkin’ and no one is listenin’, how can we
Decide?

Do we find the cost of freedom, buried in the ground

Mother earth will swallow you, lay your body down
Find the cost of freedom, buried in the ground
Mother earth will swallow you, lay your body down
(Find the cost of freedom buried in the ground)

  1. Perfectly put. And that image speaks to me. I feel our nation’s integrity weakling.
It’s so hard to watch or read the news anymore. My dad fought the Koren war. Uncle in the Vietnam war. Our men in uniform everywhere make me feel proud of this country. It’s hard to have faith in our government. It scares me. Anyway Ray, thank you for your part in our countries military service.
And now your art. So Amazing and beautiful. Love to the family and your dogs.
