Krewe of Zulus. The first parade of Mardi Gras Day.
I originally planned a Mardi Gras Day wrap up. A lot of different pictures. From a lot of different places. But, as I started to edit my work for the day, I realized that I made a lot of Zulu pictures that I liked a lot. So, I thought that I’d show some of them to you as a little collection. The parade rolled at 8am. But, everybody starts showing up at around 6:30am. The morning was cold, but clear. The light was spectacular. So golden. So rich. That’s what made the pictures.
I made almost 2,000 exposures in the last two days. To my mind, that is too many. I worked almost 28 hours in two days. I walked over 13 miles. I’ve yet to actually edit all of them. I pretty much cherry picked the few that I’ve shown you in the last two days. Over the next few days, I’ll do a serious edit. And, for the rest of the week I’ll post my version of Lundi Gras and Mardi Gras. And, maybe a little more.
Excellent shots, can’t wait to see the rest from the day!
