Way Beyond

What Remains in The Lower 9th Ward

What Remains in The Lower 9th Ward

I’m movin’ after midnight
Down boulevards of broken cars
Don’t know what to do without it
Without this love that we call ours
Beyond here lies nothin’
Nothin’ but the moon and stars

— Bob Dylan “Beyond Here Lies Nothin’,” from the album “Together Through Life.”

  1. You are good Ray. You are good ! great image again. This is art, better than straight photography and also better than oil or watercolor. Another medium in fact.

    • Since I can’t seem to make any new pictures these days I thought it would a good idea to rework some older ones. We seem to be at an artistic impasse these days for both media.

      • Hmmmm……true, but best not dwell on it…..the only way forward is to try things out and maintain some excitement by being innovative……..and by not being constrained by tradition and rules.

  2. It’s a bad cycle in this house right now. One of us can’t seem to photograph, the other can’t write new songs. We’ll sort it out. One of us will break out than the other will follow.
