On a Sunday

Peaceful and easy..

” If my words did glow with the glow of sunshine. And my tunes were played on the harp unstrung, Would you hear my voice come through the music? Would you hold it near as it were your own? It’s a hand-me-down, the thoughts are broken, Perhaps they’re better left unsung. I don’t know, don’t really care. Let there be songs to fill the air.

Ripple in still water.

When there is no pebble tossed, Nor wind to blow. Reach out your hand if your cup be empty, If your cup is full may it be again, Let it be known there is a fountain, That was not made by the hands of men. There is a road, no simple highway, Between the dawn and the dark of night, And if you go no one may follow, That path is for your steps alone.

Ripple in still water.

When there is no pebble tossed. Nor wind to blow. You, who choose to lead, must follow. But if you fall you fall alone. If you should stand then who’s to guide you? If I knew the way I would take you home.”

This is a wonderful, peaceful song. A lot of musical acts either close their show with it, or use it as an encore song. I like a version from “Playing For Change.” If you’ve never listened to “Playing for Change,” you should. Their project has been going on for years. They record and master videos using musicians from around the world, some famous, some only known in their region and some unknown. They use technology that you and I can purchase off the shelf. Only, they know what they are doing with it. Heh.

Ripple is a great Sunday song. I hope my photograph can live up to it. Enjoy your day, or night, or Monday.

Oh yeah. WordPress and me. I’d love to post a YouTube link so you could listen, but as you know, I’m not very good at that. Even though I think I’m linking correctly, I keep getting other songs when I test the link. Oh well. If you are interested, just go to YouTube and search for Ripple. One of the first to come up is the version that I referenced.
