Winter skies in New Orleans.

Bare trees. Winter skies. Cold air. Icy streets.

No. We aren’t as cold or snowy as the fine folks to the north, but we did have our own cold front. Temperatures dropped into the low twenties. Free standing water froze. A lot of tropical plants died.

But, that’s about it.

The weekend’s weather will be most dry with temperatures in the 50s and 60s. If it sounds like I’m bragging, I am. I’m no longer built for long, white winters. I was once, but time passes. The best I can do these days is to make a few pictures that sort of say winter. This is one of those pictures.

Actually, I’m interested in the bare branches on trees. There are some really cool pictures hidden within the branches randomness. One of these days, I’ll have to work a little closer, probably with longer lenses since I’m not into tree climbing these days.

They used to say when you discussed the weather in a letter that you had nothing to say.

Uh oh.

Maybe that’s true. Or, maybe I just like weather and nature. Optimism seems to be the watchword for 2018 , so I’ll go with the latter. Heh.
