Which came first? The highway or the motel?
Which came first? The highway or the motel?

A couple of days ago I published a picture of a cement factory. Down the road is a motel that sits roughly under a couple of overpasses. This is what it looks like from motel end of the street. It’s not exactly a five-star kind of place.

People live there. So, I have to respect their privacy. It’s a place that I’m pretty sure rents by the week and month. For cash. But, as I wrote a couple of days ago, those folks are making their home there. Grills, laundry lines, personal lounge chairs. And, a lot of pick up trucks. But, not soccer mom trucks. Or, chromed up Saturday night trucks. Work trucks.

The picture. Oh. Well. I exposed for a silhouette and that’s about all. I made sure that when I pushed the button that the flag was blowing out and extended so I could see it.
