I‘m a little out of sync, but this is the companion image to the picture of the abandoned church that I posted two days ago. It is the abandoned and forgotten interior of the church. They pews are still there. The altar is still there. It appears, by looking through the window, that even some of the missals are still there.

But, the people are long gone. And, from the amount of dust on everything, they’ve been gone from there for a long, long time.
I’m amazed that the building is as in good a shape as it is, since buildings seem to fall apart pretty quickly after they are abandoned. It must be the adobe walls. Good old Mother Earth.
